“Hey Lovegirl, how about you use the potty today?”
“Hey Mama, how about you put my diaper back on?”
Really. How do I get this kid to use the potty? If you have suggestions, please leave a comment. I know she can. She just won’t.

You’re right to think that she can, but she won’t. Problem is that she has to want to. What we did with our boy is one weekend we just committed to not putting on the pull-ups. We cleaned him up a few times and explained how happy we’d be if he went to the bathroom, and we bribed him with Thomas the Tank Engine stickers. By the end of the weekend he was potty trained. He was just ready and we all knew it, including him.
What also helped was a toilet seat we purchased at Target. You attach it to your bowl like a regular seat and it has both an adult size and kid size seat built in. Really cool and my boy loved it. You just need a little step stool (no pun intended) so that your kid can easily get on and off.
Now the challenge is wiping…
Thank you Keith! I’m going to do that this weekend and see what happens. I’ll definitely let you know how that turns out. Oh, how will we spend our extra millions once we no longer have to keep her in diapers . . . .
