- LOL! The girl who is doing my old job has just informed me who she has to train as her backup. Y’all should be mighty glad you’re not an hourly employee in that department the day Ms. Backup does payroll. That is going to be a hot a** mess! I could be wrong . . .
- I’d forgotten about the differences in dress that can manifest inself among the races. I show up in a suit almost daily. My new coworkers might as well have on workout clothes. I am definitely going to use this new position as an opportunity to update my wardrobe a little – I’m going to buy a few more separates and find that middle ground between suits and jeans – wish me luck!
- Last week Monnie asked if we worked out with our SOs. I answered “no, Smoochy couldn’t hang. ” Well, Saturday morning I asked Smoochy if he wanted to go to the gym with me and work out. He told me no – he thought I’d be mean at the gym. I’ve definitely got to work on my image . . .
- Is anybody watching T.op Chef this season? I usually have a favorite by now, but really, I don’t care who wins this season. This bunch just hasn’t endeared itself to me like groups on previous seasons have.
- I’m about to hire one of the trainers at the gym to develop a weight lifting plan for me. I’ve been working out, but I need to see some cut, some tone, and so far, that hasn’t happened. I’m pretty sure she’s going to try to kill me.
- Saw S.lumdog Millionaire last Friday night – though some parts really disturbed me – I thought it was a good movie and well worth my $8.50.
- Saw my old boss in the halls yesterday. You’d of sworn we were long lost friends. Geesh.
- My fast really helped me see that it is not as hard to adopt better eating habits as I thought. I’m now trying to get Lovegirl on the fresh fruits and vegetables bandwagon. So far for breakfast this week we’ve had apples, bananas and baby carrots. I hope that I can wean her off of the fiber I add to her juice every day.
- Ummm, my boss just said I could leave for the day. PEACE!
Wow you must be a serious workout machine if a former college athlete is scared of you. I’m impressed!
@ Yolanda – Not so much! I was half kidding when I said he couldn’t hang on Monnie’s site
I think the difference is that he’s comfortable lifting weights and I’m more comfortable doing cardio. I think the poor man thought I’d have him on the treadmill for an hour. Now that I think about it . . . he may have a point!
