This year the only thing I’ve been asked to bring to Thanksgiving Dinner is drinks. Thank you Lord!
In addition to sodas, water, and maybe a punch from Pinterest, I’ve decided I should take a couple of bottles of wine.
Any recommendations? Reasonably priced, please and thank you
Pinot Noir and Beaujolais are best with turkey. Don’t have any brands to suggest. Do you have a World Market near you?
I love World Market, they always have nice inexpensive bottles. !
If you like a sweet white, that’s reasonably priced. Bearfoot makes a Pinot Grio that’s really good. Here it’s $8 a bottle.
Cupcake Red Velvet is good and $8. Maybe pick up white too, I’ve been impressed with Cupcake.
Yes ! Me too. For the price it is very good.
I love the cupcake wines. And not just because I bake cupcakes, but because they’re actually good.
My favorite white is fetzer gewurztraminer. It’s about $9 at the grocery store.
Cupcake has good, reasonably priced wines. I actually saw recently that Chateau Ste. Michelle has a riesling that costs much less than their chardonnay; but either would be good.
Schmitt Sohne is also pretty decent (taste and price).
We make our own wine so I can’t recommend any brands. My suggestions are to take a nice dessert wine like Riesling, or a sparkling wine like Proseco or Cava. For dinner take a red Cabernet, and a white Sauvignon Blanc.
I have nothing to add. Great suggestions all around. Is it a bad thing, that I have had about 80% of what has been suggested so far ? LOL For Christmas I need a T-Shirt with “Wineaux” on the front !
LOL, me too!
