  1. Hi, I saw your comments on Monica Mingos blog (Love her site) and it indicated that you were in the Metro Jackson, MS area. I am from Jackson Ms and live in Austin Texas. Its very rare that I see any internet activity from Jackson. Love your site as well.

    Take care.

  2. Hey Sonya! Thanks for dropping by my spot. I love Monica’s site too – I check it more frequently than I should probably admit to. Yeah, we Jackson bloggers seem to be few and far between, but we are out here – one day soon, I’ll post links to their sites. Take care.

  3. I saw on Miss Monica’s site that you were in Jackson, so I had to make my way over! I’m not FROM Jackson, but to make it easier on people I used to say that I was. I’m FROM Flowood, and now with all that’s been going on in Jackson I don’t care how many times I have to correct people. lol

I loved your list, but chocolate can’t possibly be overrated. It’s the greatest thing ever!

  4. Nicole — Hey there – welcome! We actually live in Brandon, but you’re right, it is so much easier to just say Jackson. And girl, Jackson is seriously going through some thangs right about now. But that’s a whole ‘nother topic . . .

Yeah, I pretty much walk alone when it comes to the chocolate thing :)

    Peace.

  5. Hey. I googled Empanada Jackson, MS and saw a post by you on someone’s blog. You mentioned there is an “Empanada World” in Jackson? My dd has signed up to take Argentinian Empanadas to a Culture Club meeting at school next week! Is there really someplace in or near Jackson that makes these? Or even a place we can buy pre-made shells??

  6. okay so check it –
you lost points on Number six but then got them all back on #16 and 76 – actually most of your list i was like ME TOO!!!
Although #64 I always felt like I started that trend and the world won’t give me my credit, and #18 made me wanna puke. ANd if you find your self in st. Louis we’ll 96 i nmy moms living room – she has a machine for it!

  7. Nice to meet ya
I couldn’t find a “contact me” section so I could email you about my aesthetician.

When you get a chance email me

  11. Another MAGNOLIA in the blogging world, I see! I was raised in Jackson, but now live in the MD/DC/VA area. Found your blog from a comment you made on another blog.

Hang in there…….. MUCH MAGNOLIA love!

  12. Stumbled on your blog from thefashionistaandbaby. We have much too much in common. I’m new to blogging, but my intentions are to do “50 things about me” (but procrastination, amongst other things got in my way)and when I stumbled upon yours, I was laughing and agreeing at the same time, thinking it was so ironic. These were the things that most caught my eye that we have similar feelings about….”Imitation of Life” (my absolute FAVORITE), natural hair, Don Cheadle, pedicures, pound cake, Halle Berry, visiting the 50 states, natural birth, “Order My Steps”, never played a sport, used Sun-In to lighten my hair, I’d rather be hot than cold, and last but not least…..don’t mess with my kids!!!

    Enjoy your weekend!
