Consumed: Turkey bacon and Boca “chicken” patties for the first time. Both are quite tasty and will become regulars on our table.
Read: About 60 more pages in Mandela’s autobiography “Long Walk to Freedom.” It is so easy to forget that our heroes are really every day men and women who answered a call and perservered in the face of adversity. A great read, and I’m looking forward to learning more about Mr. Mandela and his struggles, both personal and political.
Slept: Outside in the lounger. The weather is just gorgeous and the combination of the sunshine, the chirping birds, and the inner peace I’m feeling right now just naturally progressed into a quick nap.
Bought: 4 t-shirts. Two from Tar-jhay and two from Old Navy. The sleeves on the two from Target stop right before my elbows and will be just perfect for Spring -got green and black. The two from Old Navy are so soft and comfortable – and were on sale – heathered tan and gray. 4 new t-shirts in, 4 old ones out – and so the ruthless closet purging continues.
Finished: Lovegirl’s Easter basket. We never had Easter baskets as children, and I swore any child I had would always have one. This year’s goodies include: chocolate, a new garden spade and gardening gloves, lipgloss, and a bright yellow tshirt.
What did you do this weekend? What are you looking forward to in the upcoming week?
